1966-1970
Appearing in 1966, the King Size F boxes, better known as “Window Boxes”, offered a totally difference experience from any other packages offered by Lesney before. First, those boxes were the first to offer the
opportunity to see the model right from the box, instead of having to open the carton to actually look at the toy. Second, the artwork was pushed one more step forward, offering spectacular pictures of the
model in action in beautiful sceneries. The back, for any sub-type, always gives detailed backgrounds and realistic action involving the model. The F2 sub-type even offers a different scenery in an insert panel. F3, F4 and F5
sub-types have a distinctive hang tag where once again, beautiful drawing are shown.
