The E boxes for the Major Pack series show the models in beautiful sceneries in which they can be seen in action. The model number is blue, in a white square. The “MATCHBOX” in arch is identical to the one for Regular Wheels
and other series.“A LESNEY PRODUCTION” in black can be seen as well at the bottom of the box. The model name is in red, just below the model picture.
SUB TYPES
There are two sub types for Major Packs E boxes. The sub types depends on the fact that it is a regular box (E1) or sliding box (E2). But there is a third sub-type, E3, that is used for boxes where the model is illustrated on the end
flaps (similar to King Size E boxes). This is the case for MP1B and MP5A.
MAJOR AND MINOR VARIABLES
Only the actual drawing plays a role of a major variable. The mention “NEW MODEL” was used for MP4B, MP6B and MP8B, although no box exists for any of those model without the “NEW MODEL”.
SIZES
Just like King Size and Accessory Packs, Major Pack boxes come in different sizes for each model.
TOP AND BOTTOM
They are typically black and blue.
