GENERAL INFO

Issued in October 1959, the 72A Fordson Tractor has no less than 10 variations, including 8 major ones.

The first box, a B4, shows the model in red with yellow front grille, black tires, and red wheels. The model numbers are closer to the model. The first B5 box is similar but has a small yellow hole in the engine and the grille looks darker. The numbers are away from the scroll and model. Still in B5 sub-type, the next box has a darker engine, same grille as the B4 box, but the engine is a bit darker with no holes, and the wheels are yellow with a red hub on the rear ones.

A final B5 box was issues with yellow tires and red wheels. This same box was also used as the first C box. The second C box is virtually the same except for some lines drawn under the model.

D1 and D2 boxes were done as well, showing the blue tractor with gray tires and orange wheels.

All boxes are size 3.

RARITY

Although not rare, the B4 box as well as C boxes are not as common as others for this model.
