GENERAL INFO

The 63A has 8 variations, all different and some of them quite interesting. This model is one of those that has boxes featuring a different face than back. It happened right from the first released and, although subtle, the difference resides in the position of the “N” on the right umber, which is more at right of the scroll and also “thinner”. The B3, size 3 box also has the blue rectangle around, as the drawing was probably first created for a shorter box. The front/right view of the model shows it in red, including the wheels, and a background. The second box, a B4, show the model with yellow wheels and the model name in all caps on end flaps. This same drawing was used for a B5 box. Another B5 box consisted in the same drawing as the very first B3 box and has the same different face and back feature.

The last B5 shows a different view of the model, which is actually more of a side view. The drawing is looks more like the real model and features the model in red, wheels and hubs in yellow and large model numbers with the “straight 3”. This same box would be used for the C type as well. All B5 and C boxes show the model name in regular letter on end flaps, as opposed to the All Caps B4 box.

D1 and D2 boxes were also later available, in size 3 like all the B and C boxes.

RARITY

D boxes are less common to find for this model, but should not be considered rare. The B4 box is probably the less common of all B type boxes.
