GENERAL INFO

The 62B TV Service Van made its debut in July of 1963 in a narrow, size 3 D2 box. The van can be seen in beige, with beige ladder instead of red, and black wheels. The narrow box can be found with and without the NEW MODEL on end flaps. Lesney changed the size to 4 in order to fit the model better in the box. The size 4 box came in three different top/bottom color schemes.

The model was also available in E boxes. First in an E3 box, where the model is seen with Rentaset advert, red ladder, three TV sets, and black wheels. This box is also found in E4 sub-type. To the pleasure of box collectors, a final major variation was made showing the model with Radio Rentals green advert.

RARITY

The E4 Radio Rentals is scarce. The size 3 NEW MODEL box is less common.
