GENERAL INFO

Released in 1958, the 58A AEC BEA Coach had seven different variations, all major ones. The first in a blue rectangle variation showing a front view of the mode with very large numbers. Interesting fact about this variation is the background, which shows city buildings instead of the usual trees. A second variation soon replaced it, where the front and back are different. It features a side view of the model with tree background, and one side has its right number slightly more to the right. Both variations are B3 sub-types.

There were never any B4 boxes made for this model. Instead, three different B5 boxes were produced. The first features a side view of the model, but one side of the box shows lines underneath while the other does not. The second B5 box has a similar view, but darker. It also has a different front and back, where the right number is more to the right on one side. The last B5, finally, has identical front and back. It has yellow decal instead of black. And the wheels are also all yellow, instead of black.

The C box uses the same picture as the last B5 box.

A beautiful D1 box was also made, showing the blue model with white decal and gray wheels.

RARITY

The D1 box is by far the rarest box for this model. It is also one of the rarest D boxes known to exist, and one of the most desirable boxes of the whole Regular Wheel series.
