GENERAL INFO

The 53A Aston Martin came in 1958, first in a size 3 B2 box. This box was also released in B3 sub-type and has a different back and front. One side has the model and numbers slightly to the right than the other side. The model is red, with yellow wheels and black hubs and grille. There is no background and noticeable lines underneath the model. The second major variation has also a different front and back in the same kind of pattern than the previous one. The picture is almost identical, but obvious dark lines were drawn underneath the model. This box could be found in B4 and B5 sub-types.

Another set of B4/B5 boxes was made available with paler lines underneath. The box has an identical front and back.

Finally, a C box was made available with the model more centered in the picture, no background or line underneath except very light one under the wheels, and numbers away from the scroll. The box has an identical front and back.

The D box came after, showing the model in red, with silver grille and bumper, and black wheels.
