GENERAL INFO

The 51B Tipping Trailer is  also one of those “shade” cases where the very first variation was printed in a darker color. The E1 “NEW MODEL” box was dark green, as opposed to the lighter green available for the E1 box without the “NEW MODEL” end flap mention as well as all subsequent boxes.

Unlike the John Deere Tractor, the 51B was not released in different sizes and was only available in Size 4. 51B was available in E1, and E4 boxes only. The E4 box was never made available with “®”. The “Tipping” was added to the end flap description, but only on the E4 box. Previously, only “Trailer” was written on end flaps.

RARITY

The 51B boxes don’t attract much particular desire, as they are all relatively common. The “NEW MODEL” darker green variation is probably the most interesting to have.
