GENERAL INFO

Released in 1958, the 51A Albion Cement Lorry has many different boxes. The first one, a B2, size 3 box came with a different front and back. The picture shows the model in red, with yellow load and no background and one side has the numbers slightly to the right. This version of the picture was available for B2 and B3 boxes and both have the blue rectangle around it. A second variation with the blue rectangle, made for B3 sub-type only, was done with both front and back identical.

The first B4, than B5 boxes were made with a drawing stretched to fit the size 3. The model is a little lower in the picture and the numbers are away from the scroll.

The C box essentially takes the B4/B5 box again, but with the Lesney scroll.

D1 and D2 boxes were later made, with the blue circle Portland cement labels on side.

RARITY

It is hard to tell if any boxes for this model are rarer, but it is safe to say that D boxes are a bit less common.
