GENERAL INFO
The 47C boxes first featured the 47C model in the E type box in the turquoise color, the which is the first color – and scarcer – for the model itself. The early box sports the “NEW MODEL” note on its end flaps. The only E boxes made all had the “R” at the end of the “MATCHBOX” name on front and back as well as on the end flaps. It was later made available in the F type box, where 2 different bottom lettering were made available.
Four different variations exist.
RARITY
There really isn’t anything particular for these boxes, the most common ones are the E types. F type boxes are a bit less common, with the “LPC” lettering being probably the most uncommon. However, none of those variations command any specific price or desire from the collectors.
