GENERAL INFO
The 47A Trojan Van came in 1958, first in a B2, size 3 box with different sides, as the numbers are slightly to the right on one of them. The drawing shows the red model with yellow wheels and a light background. The variation also came in B3 box. In both vases, the blue rectangle is present.
A second major variation was made, available in B4 and B5 as well. It’s almost identical to the previous one but does not have light trees in the background and numbers are away from the model. While the B4 end flaps simply call the model Trojan, the B5 describes it as “TROJAN” BROOKE BOND VAN (all in capital letters). The last B5 box would retake the simple Trojan, but the drawing reuses the same pattern as the B2/B3 box, which include dark background trees and different sides based on the position of the numbers.
No C box was ever made for this model.
The D box was a very short run and show a beautiful picture of the model in red with light gray wheels.
RARITY
Being one of the top 5 rarest D boxes, the 47A late box is very hard to find.
