GENERAL INFO

The 45B was available first in E type box and it’s almost a luck that we can find it in F boxes as well, as it was not the case for all models discontinued late in the regular wheel era and replaced by early Superfast models. Think about 69B or 35B, for example.

The first box for the model was an E2 NEW MODEL box having two different end flaps, one showing the boat and the other one the suspension on the model. The box depicts the 45B with a brown boat instead of green, which let to believe maybe pro-production of prototypes had the boat in this color.

Another version without the NEW MODEL was next.

Still in E2 sub-type, the box changed with a green boat instead of brown. That major variation is available in E2, E3, E4 and E4R boxes.

The size of all E boxes is 3.

The sole F box is a “ALP” one with blank end flap closers. It shows the model in the right off-white color and the green boat. The size for this F box is 5.

RARITY

The NEW MODEL box is a bit less common, as well as the F box. However those are not really hard to find.
