GENERAL INFO
The 38C Honda Motorcycle and Trailer appeared in the regular wheels range in September of 1967. The first box shows a preproduction blue color for the trailer and silver motorcycle. The E4 end flaps have NEW MODEL and the model is described as “HONDA M/CYCLE & TRAILER”. The following box shows the right color for the trailer – yellow – and an additional motorcycle is present in the background, showing how the model can stand. The motorcycle, however, is still silver. The end flaps still have “NEW MODEL” on them.
The E boxes were followed by F2 boxes, and this time the motorcycle is blue! The “ALP” bottom lettering was used on both variations. The end flap closers are different: blank on the first variation and showing “TM” on the second. The text on the end flaps was changed to “HONDA MOTORCYCLE WITH TRAILER”
E boxes are size 7, while F boxes are size 6.
RARITY
The first “blue trailer” variation might be a little less common for this model.
