The 35B was only available in E boxes, being replaced by one of the first Superfast models, the 35A Merryweather Fire Engine, before it could get an F box.
The first variation, in E1 sub-type, had the “NEW MODEL” on end flap. It eventually lost that mention but was still available in E1 boxes with three different top/bottom color combinations. Then came a first variation in E3 sub-type, where the model is a little smaller on the picture and lost its “SNOW-TRAC” label on its side. A second E3 box was last released and it’s a rare case where the “®” is added to “MATCHBOX” on such a box, this situation being usually on E4 boxes.
All boxes released were of size 4. No E4 boxes were ever released and, as mentioned above, no F box either.
The “NEW MODEL” box, as well as the E3 with “®” are the most interesting boxes for this model, although these should not be considered rare boxes.
