GENERAL INFO
34D or, for many, 34C with lower roof, was released in 1968. An interesting factor that might tell that this model was rather a second variation of 34C than a proper variation of its own, may reside in the fact that no “NEW MODEL” box was ever released for 34D. That might be a very good argument for those who stick to the 34C variation!
The E box is very similar to the one used for the 34C box, except of course for the roof. The open door revealing the orange interior is almost identical. The E box was only released in E4 with “®” at the end of “MATCHBOX”.
F boxes were available with “ALP” as well as “LPC” bottom lettering. “PO” was mentioned on all end flap closers and the very last variation also added “TM”.
Note that F boxes are longer then E boxes, with a size 6 compared to size 4.
RARITY
34D boxes are common boxes and the F box with “LPC” lettering are a bit harder to get.
