Taking over the Jaguar at the #32 spot in 1968 was the Leyland Petrol Tanker. It was first released in an E4R box with NEW MODEL. The ARAL variation also got its own box showing the blue ARAL model. However, the ARAL variation has a different name for the model on the end flaps: while the BP common version reads “LEYLEND PETROL TANKER”, the rare ARAL box reads “ARAL TANKWAGEN”.
Three F boxes were also available under one major variation. The “ALP” has the end flap closer configuration “TM/X/X” while the “LPC” has two different end flap closers configuration : “TM/X/X” and blank.
The ARAL E4R box is by far the scarcest of boxes for this model.
