GENERAL INFO

The Ford Prefect came in the Matchbox lineup in 1956. Packaged in a small B2, size 1 box first, it shows the model with light background. It was also available in B2 and B3 size 2 as well. A second major variation in B2 box with the left number closer to the model is also known to exist.

Two B4 boxes, in size 3, were made. The first shows the model with background and numbers close to model, while the other variation has no background and numbers away. Another interesting fact about the two boxes is that the first has “Prefect” in quotes while the second has no quotes.

RARITY

The B4 boxes seem less common than smaller boxes. However none of those boxes should be considered rare.
