GENERAL INFO

Released in April 1961, the Austin A55 Cambridge made its entry in a C box showing the model all in red, with yellow front bumper. The end flaps show “NEW MODEL”. A second C box came after, but the roof and rear fin is yellow. Interesting enough, this box can be found with and without the “NEW MODEL” on end flaps.

The D boxes show the two-tone car with silver wheels. It was made available in both D1 and D2 sub-types. The end flaps mention “A55”, which wasn’t the case for C boxes.

All boxes for this model are size 3.

RARITY

The All red NEW MODEL C box is most probably the less common of boxes for this model.
