The Bedford Milk Float came in 1956 first in a B2 box, showing the model with a red front and doors, which would remain for all box variations going forward. Black and red wheels and yellow rear and float completed the illustration, with a light background. A second variation was later issued, still in B2 type, but showing a slightly smaller model with a background somehow even lighter than the first issue. Both variations were in the small size 2 box. The model barely fits the box.
As size 3 boxes were made available, a third variation came up, with a view of the model slightly more to the side and yellow tires. This variation is combined with the B4 box where “MILK VAN” is in capital letters on end flaps. A fourth variation was soon printed, where the drawing is the same as the very first issue but fitted on a size 3 box. It was released in B4 box, but with small letter on end flaps, and finally in B5 box.
With the withdrawal of the model for the Austin 5 the same year the C box came to the market, the 29A Bedford Milk Van can only be found in B boxes.
The B4 box, with yellow tires, appears to be a little less common than the other boxes. Other variations are equally rare, but none is particularly sought after.
