GENERAL INFO

The 28D was released in August of 1968, just in time to be accompanied by an E type box. This box shows the model with orange wheels and was only available, of course since it was in late 1968, in E4 type with the ® at the end of “MATCHBOX”.

It was soon made available in an F box that illustrates the model with red wheels. There are two F box variations, one with the ALP bottom lettering and the other one with the MRT1. End flaps have in inner lettering “TM” only.

RARITY

Boxes for the 28D are not rare or even scarce. The “MRT1” bottom lettering on the late F box could reveal to be harder to find, however.
