GENERAL INFO

If there is a model for which Lesney was creative for the drawings it used to illustrate its boxes, it’s 27A. Not a lot of other models have so many different illustrations over such a short period of time.

The first box, a small B1, size 1 package, showed the model with a very small picture. This one did not last long before a longer model was shown on another B1, size 1 box. This drawing was also used for a size 2 box as well. Them an even longer model was used, with small numbers, on size 2 B1 and B2 boxes. Bigger numbers were then used on the next box, a B2 size 2 as well. The model also appears just a little lower than the previous one.

Finally, an extra long model was depicted on the last box used for this model (also B2, size 2!). The drawing seems “clearer” than the previous ones but the numbers are small with the “large N”.

RARITY

It is extremely difficult to consider one box rarer than another for this model. Even though none of those boxes are deemed “rare”, there are all evenly desirable.
