GENERAL INFO

Taking over 14A Ambulance, 14B has no less than eight different variations, all major ones.

The model was fist released in very small size 1 boxes. To begin with, a long drawing of the model is shown on a B2 box, with light background and very small numbers. It was then replaced with a shorter depiction of 14B, with darker background, and “tall N” model numbers. Then a third B2, size 1 box was released, with the drawing a bit lower and wheels all in red, larger “N” and smaller model numbers.

As size 3 boxes were now available, 14B first used this size with a drawing very similar to the second variation, but the angle used is a bit different, making the model look a bit lower in the picture. The blue square (rectangle!) has been used on that one, as well as on the following one, which represents 14B with very small wheels in what looks otherwise like the same box used for the very first B2 variation.

The drawing used for the sixth variation looks very similar to RW-14B-B2-4a, but closer inspection reveals it’s a bit longer and also, the model numbers are aways from the scroll. This one comes in B4 box.

A totally different artwork was used for the final B box, a B5 sub-type. It shows the model in red, with yellow rear side windows and yellow wheels. The same exact drawing would be used for the C box as well.

RARITY

The last B5 box is a bit harder to find, as well as the B4 one. C box, like any of this type, is also less common.
