GENERAL INFO

Released in 1965, the 12C Land Rover continued the Land Rover tradition for number 12. First seen in an E3 NEW MODEL box, it shows a small illustration of the green model variation with its usual brown luggage and white interior. This box was apparently short lived and was replace with a larger drawing of the model, still in E3 box with the NEW MODEL on end flaps. A third E3 box was released with the green model, but without the NEW MODEL on end flaps.

Then came the blue model variation, available in E4 and E4R variations. All E boxes are size 7.

The F boxes show the blue model again with a paler luggage on roof. It is available in both ALP and LPC bottom lettering, in F2 sub type of size 6. End flap closers show “TM” on them.

RARITY

The small green model E3 box is the hardest E box to find, although it should not be considered as a rare piece. The “LPC” F2 box is supposed to exist, but it extremely hard to spot.
