GENERAL INFO

The box story of the 8D is quite short. The 4th generation of Caterpillar Tractors was only packaged in E boxes, starting withtE1 (without any mention to NEW MODEL!). The E1 box was available in three different top/bottom color schemes. Then came the E3 box.

Each box had the mention “MADE BY LESNEY PRODUCT & CO. LTD. AND SOLD UNDER PERMISSION FROM CATERPILLAR TRACTOR COMPANY “ on end flaps.

The size of those boxes was 4.

RARITY

The E3 box seems harder to find than the E1 box, without being a rare box.
