GENERAL INFO
The 8B first used the same box as 8A, a B2 box, showing the black and yellow driver on a red and yellow model, featuring a dark background and very small numbers. The second box, also a B2, is displaying a much clearer picture of the model, an all-red model and bigger numbers and model.
The last box, available in B2 and B3 style but always in size 2, has a larger model with larger engine, no trees on background and a black driver. The numbers are smaller than the previous box. It’s also with this third major variation that the mention “MADE BY LESNEY PRODUCT & CO. LTD.,AND SOLD UNDER PERMISSION FROM CATERPILLAR TRACTOR COMPANY “ first appears.
RARITY
The first box that uses the same pattern as 8A is probably harder to find, being quickly replaced by a “true” 8B box.
