GENERAL INFO

The last of the London buses, 5D, made its entrance in June 1965 in a NEW MODEL E1 box. The picture illustrates the red model with LONGLIFE label and the interior appears tan. The E1 box was then made without the NEW MODEL on end flaps, in two different yop/bottom color schemes.

Three other E box variations followed: E3, E4 and E4R. No change was made on the picture. All E boxes were made in size 5.

The F box uses the VISCO-STATIC label and shows a bright white interior. The size changed to 6.

RARITY

The F box is by far the hardest box to find for this model. For E boxes, the NEW MODEL is the less common, followed by the E3 box.
