Replacing the 4C Triumph Motorcycle, the 4D Dodge Stake Truck was released in both E and F type boxes.
The first variation displays the truck with yellow cab and green stakes. The NEW MODEL box is an E4. The second variation, also an E4, simply dropped the NEW MODEL, until an E4R came up later on. All E boxes are size 7.
Then came the F boxes. An interesting observation is that the first variation came with a dark yellow cab, which would later turn to light yellow. By comparing the two boxes, the color difference is obvious, even considering th slight difference in tone between the two. The stakes on the dark yellow can box is even looking a bit paler than on the other box. Bot boxes have “ALP” bottom lettering.
The light yellow cab picture was also made with the “MIR1” bottom lettering, which was available with two different end flap closers configurations: blank and with “TM”.
The E4 boxes are quite common. The boxes are less seen, but still pretty easy to find, with “MIR1” bottom lettering probably being the less common.
