The very first box ever released shows model 1A Road Roller in a classic illustration pattern that would be used for many years. The “line drawing” design depicts the model with a side view, relatively dark background and small model numbers far from the model.
The A box, of course, has the “MOKO” in script lettering, while the B1 box has the “MOKO” in block letters. Size 1 was the only box size available for the little gem.
It goes without saying that the type A box, like any box of this type, is rare and sought after. It is difficult to find any in good shape, as their fragile end flaps are often torn or missing. The B type is easier to find as it was made available for a longer period of time. Any box for the 1A can be pricy and a very good condition piece will command a nice amount.
