GENERAL INFO

The very nice 8A Mobilgas Tanker has an interesting box history. It was released in B and C types and in both cases, the front and back are a bit different. The model is slightly more to the left on one of the sides. The pattern is the same on both types.

The boxes are rather small : 115 X 30 X 39. Enough to fit the model, but no extra room!

What is also interesting for this model is the fact that it was never released in a D box. No doubt the artwork would have been awesome, but somehow Lesney decided not to make any. It could also be possible an E type box would have made it as well before the Guy Car Transporter took over the #8 spot.

RARITY

It’s hard to tell, but the C type is probably less common.
