GENERAL INFO

The 16A DODGE TRACTOR UNIT WITH TWIN TIPPING TRAILERS came in 1966, packaged in a unique box, sort of a transitional one between E and F types. The “F0” box has all the E box features, including blue top and bottom and End flaps very similar to E3/E4 ones. However, the cellophane window makes it an F box… The back of it is quite spectacular, showing a full view of the model on a construction site. There is no “NEW” on the end flaps.

An F2 box would soon follow, and it offers a different back artwork. The insert panel shows a city background.

Finally, the F5 box shows the model on the hang tag, with its trailer separated and the front view of an additional truck. The back is yet different from the F0 and F2 boxes, as it features one extra model and characters positioned differently from the F2 box.

RARITY

The F0 remains the least common of the boxes for this model.
