The Garage, taking the #3 spot, was released in B, C and D boxes. It is the only model on the entire Matchbox series to have writing and illustrations on the top until the F boxes came into play in 1968.
The B box, a sub-type B1, showed the garage with red doors as well window frames. Roof was also red. The same illustration was used for C boxes as well. The illustration on top of the box showed two garages side by side, held par two hands, two show how they can clipped together. The bottom of the box was blank.
The D box showed the garage with the correct green doors and yellow window frames. The text on the top was on two lines instead of three. The illustration, although very similar to the one on B and C boxes, is a bit different.
Although not a rare box, the D type box for the Garage is a bit less common than B and C boxes.
